                Thranduil and Legolas by captainamelialover

The next day was busy as guards prepared to help Legolas take care of the orcs that tested the borders.

“I want you to go to Gondor as well, seeing an old friend will do you good.” Thranduil says to Legolas outside of the gates. “Yes ada.” He replies, looking over Thranduils’ shoulder he sees me walking with Lafen, I could feel his eyes on me without having to look in his direction. “May the Valar protect you.” Thranduil says as Legolas mounts a horse. With that, Legolas rode off into the forest and out of sight.

“I can continue teaching you.” Lafen offers as we walk into the kitchen. “Only if you have the time for it Lafen.” I reply smiling at her. “We never have time.” She says smiling. “But thank you for the offer Lafen.” I say.

The rest of the day went by quickly as there were not many chores since Legolas was gone. In a way…I was relieved that he was gone and yet…I missed his touch. That night I was able to sleep peacefully.

The next day was quieter since there wasn’t much to do since Thranduil was the only one to serve. He spent most of his time in his study reading and drinking wine.

“Things are so quiet.” I say as I sit with Lafen at a small table. “Since the Prince is gone there is not much to do, especially for you since you serve the Prince ad King.” She says looking at me. “Lafen…” I say looking at her, “I still don’t know my ancestry.” Her smile slowly fades, “Can you tell me?” I ask, I needed to know more than anything.

“You come from a clan that was wiped out many years ago. They were one of the most powerful clans. They created all the medicines we have now, the healing powers we healers learn came from your ancestors.” She say looking at me, I stared at her intently. “But how does that explain why I healed so quickly? It should not be possible.” I say. “Because it is not possible.” She replies. “Then why did it happen?” I ask. “Ladeth,.” Says the head maid, “get back to work,” she said. I sigh and return to my duties, at least I found out some of my ancestry.

Sorry it's another short chapter
